Privacy Notice – Last updated: 3 July 2026

This notice explains how Peralta SRL collects and uses personal data when you visit our website, contact us, or stay with us at Peralta. We have written it to be read in a few minutes; if anything is unclear, please ask us at contact@peraltatuscany.com.
1. Who we are
Peralta SRL, Via di Agliano Peralla 1091, 55041 Camaiore (LU), Italy — VAT IT 02696970462, REA LU-261144 — is the data controller. You can contact us about privacy matters at contact@peraltatuscany.com or by certified email (PEC) at peraltasrl@pec.it.
2. The data we collect
• Enquiries and correspondence: your name, email address, phone number and the content of your messages when you contact us by email, through the website, or on WhatsApp.
• Booking data: name, postal address, email, phone number, the accommodation and dates booked, the composition of your party (including children’s ages, used to apply the tourist-tax exemption), price and payment records.
• Guest registration data: for every member of your party, including children: full name, date and place of birth, nationality and gender; and, for the lead guest or head of family/group, the type, number and issuing country of an identity document. We collect this through our online check-in form or on arrival, because Italian law requires it (see section 3).
• Payment data: payments are handled by our payment provider (Stripe) or by bank transfer to our bank. We do not store full card numbers.
• Website data: technical and usage data collected through cookies, described in section 8.
3. Why we use your data, and the legal bases
To respond to your enquiry, conclude and manage your booking, and host your stay. This includes using your email address and phone number to send you communications about your booking — confirmations, payment requests and receipts, our online check-in link, pre-arrival information and directions, and any news or updates that affect your stay (for example a change at the property or important local information). Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
To comply with Italian law. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). Like every accommodation provider in Italy, we must: register every guest with the State Police within 24 hours of arrival (Art. 109 of the Consolidated Law on Public Security — TULPS), via the Police’s Alloggiati Web portal; report anonymous occupancy statistics to the Tuscany Region and ISTAT; calculate, collect and declare the Comune di Camaiore tourist tax; and keep accounting and tax records.
To protect our property and legal position. Legal basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — for example documenting damage, recovering amounts due, and establishing or defending legal claims.
To keep in touch after your stay. We may use your email address to send you occasional news about Peralta and offers for future stays or similar services. Legal basis: your consent, or — for past guests — our legitimate interest in telling you about services similar to those you have booked (Art. 130(4) of the Italian Privacy Code). Every such email contains an unsubscribe link, and we stop immediately if you opt out.
4. Who we share your data with
Public authorities, because the law requires it: the State Police (Questura di Lucca) through Alloggiati Web; the Tuscany Region and ISTAT through the regional tourism reporting system; and the Comune di Camaiore for the tourist tax.
Service providers who process data on our behalf, under contracts that protect your data: our property-management and booking system (Smoobu), our guest-registration service (Chekin), our online check-in form provider (Fillout), our payment provider (Stripe), our bank, our email and office systems, and our website host. We share only what each provider needs.
Booking platforms: if you book through Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia or Vrbo, that platform is a separate, independent data controller and its own privacy policy applies to the data you give it.
Professional advisers (such as our accountant) where necessary. We never sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the United States). Where that happens, the transfer is protected by a European Commission adequacy decision (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or by the Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep your data
• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 2 years.
• Booking, payment and accounting records: 10 years, as required by Article 2220 of the Italian Civil Code and tax law.
• Guest registration: confirmations of the police and statistical filings are kept for the periods required by law; images of identity documents collected for online check-in are deleted promptly once registration is complete.
• Marketing contact details: until you unsubscribe or ask us to stop.
7. Your rights
You have the right to ask for access to your personal data, and for its rectification, erasure or restriction; the right to data portability; the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests; and the right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing already carried out). To exercise any of these rights, write to contact@peraltatuscany.com — we respond within one month. Please note that data we are legally required to collect and keep (such as police registration and accounting records) cannot be erased while those legal obligations apply.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live.
8. Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies needed for it to function, and — only with your consent, given through the cookie banner — analytics cookies (Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics) that help us understand how the site is used. You can change or withdraw your cookie choices at any time through the banner settings or your browser. Refusing non-essential cookies does not affect your use of the site.
9. Children
We process children’s data only where needed to manage a booking and to meet the legal registration requirements described above, and only as provided to us by a parent or guardian.
10. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including secure systems, access controls and encrypted connections, and we require the same of our service providers.
